Volunteer



Habitat for Humanity is a grassroots, community based organization that relies on local volunteers to build homes and hope in Lincoln County.  There are many ways to become involved in Habitat's work. Volunteers can help in one or more of the following areas:

  • Construction volunteer: Please join us during any of the schedule work days, or please notify us if you have a group of friends, co-workers, or are part of an organization or church who would like to schedule a work party.  
  • Volunteer supporter: Not comfortable swingin a hammer?  You or a group can help support the construction crew by bringing drinks and snacks. 
  • Committee volunteers: Our committees support vital aspects of Habitat's program including family selection, family support, special events, marketing and communications, faith relations, construction and site acquisition, outreach, and fundraising.
  • Office volunteers: We always need help with database entry and general office support.
  • ReStore: Please join us in helping to make our recently opened ReStore a success.The goal of the ReStore is to provide support for Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County's building programs and to reduce the amount of material going to our landfills.
  • Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County is looking for teachers, parents, and volunteers to help implement a Youth Program for 5-18 year olds.

There are a number of opportunities to contribute to the success of Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County's ReStore!  The ReStore is the place to shop. Roseanne (Rosie) Hernandez, her partner Dave and their family, (pictured with Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County board member, Hathaway Cornelius), have just celebrated the completion of their beautiful new home in Toledo.  Please join us in wishing Rosie and her family much happiness in their new home.

Special thanks to the many businesses and volunteers who through their donations and hardwork, helped to make the dream of owning a home a reality for Rosie and her family.
